SAN FRANCISCO,CA – June 07, 2006 – Honey, did you forget to feed the fish?
Last Day of Work is introducing the Mac version of “Fish Tycoon”. Already a hit game on the Windows platform, the game allows players to cross-breed, nurture and grow beautiful exotic fish in a virtual aquarium, as they search for the fabled ‘7 magic fish of Isola’.
“
The release of Fish Tycoon for Mac OS is an important milestone for our company as it is our first release on the Macintosh platform.” said Arthur Humphrey, LDW’s chief executive. “The initial response during testing has been very positive, and we are looking forward to seeing the response from the Mac community.”
“Fish Tycoon is the perfect combination of simulation and puzzle games, giving gamers the reward of solving a genetic riddle, as well as the endless immersion of a virtual aquarium.” said Arthur Humphrey, LDW’s chief executive. “Additionally, the real-time persistent world feature of the game makes it very addictive. Players always want to return to see what has changed since they last played”.
Fish Tycoon is set on the fictitious island of Isola, where the loss of seven magic fish has broken the ecosystem. Until the players find the magic fish and solve their genetic puzzle, they must nurture and breed exotic fish as a means to finance research on the mystical fish. Players sell the exotic fish in their virtual store and use the proceeds to buy supplies, such as medication or eggs, to assist in the care of the fish. The windows version has recently won the iParenting Media Award.
A free trial version of Fish Tycoon is available for download Free Trial and the full version of the game can be purchased for $19.95 directly at www.ldw.com
